Kozhikode’s Bindu Irulam Featured in Manchester UNESCO City of Literature’s Global Exhibition

As we approach International Mother Language Day (February 21), the Kozhikode UNESCO City of Literature is proud to announce a significant international collaboration.

Our featured poet, Bindu Irulam, representing the Kattunayakan community, has been selected for the global digital exhibition “No Tongues Left to Chant”.

Curated by the Manchester UNESCO City of Literature in partnership with Voiced: The Festival of Endangered Languages, this project brings together poetry from indigenous and endangered languages around the world. Bindu Irulam’s work will stand alongside voices from other UNESCO Cities of Literature, highlighting the rich yet vulnerable linguistic heritage of our tribal communities.
